A Day in San Blas: What to Expect on Your Tour

Planning a day trip to San Blas with Coconut Paradise? Here’s a breakdown of what your typical day will look like so you can get the most out of your adventure.

  • Early Morning Departure

Your day begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Panama City. Our friendly driver will take you on a scenic 4×4 journey through lush mountains, providing you with beautiful views as you approach the San Blas Islands.

  • Arrival at the Port and Boat Transfer

Upon arrival at the port, you’ll board a boat for a short ride to the islands. The ride itself is an adventure, as you zip across clear waters with stunning views of tiny islets scattered across the horizon.

  • Welcome to San Blas

You’ll arrive at one of the islands, such as Isla Perro Chico, by mid-morning. After a warm welcome, you’ll have time to relax on the beach, swim, or snorkel around the famous sunken shipwreck. The waters are so clear you’ll feel like you’re swimming in an aquarium.

  • Lunch with a View

Around 1 PM, you’ll enjoy a freshly prepared lunch of local seafood, often featuring lobster or fish, along with traditional sides like coconut rice and fried plantains. Vegetarians can also be catered for upon request.

  • Afternoon Adventures

After lunch, you’ll have more time to explore. You can visit nearby islands, play beach volleyball, or take in more snorkeling. Our bilingual guides will be on hand to share stories about the Guna culture and the history of the islands.

  • Sunset Departure

As the day winds down, you’ll board the boat back to the mainland, where your driver will be waiting to return you to Panama City. Expect to arrive back at your hotel by early evening, with plenty of time to rest and reflect on your unforgettable day in San Blas.

With Coconut Paradise, your San Blas adventure will be stress-free and full of discovery, from start to finish.
